Burrito Bowls

This colorful burrito bowl is great for everyone! This simple and easy to make recipe is great for any meal of the day and is well nutritionally balanced. Add your protein of choice and toppings to create it your own!

Prep Time: 25 min Cook Time: 25-30 min Total Time: 55 min


1lb of protein (ground turkey, beef, bison, impossible burger)

1/2 cup of salsa


1/2 yellow, green and red bell peppers (chopped)

1/2 small red or yellow onion (chopped)

2-4 cups of greens (mixed greens, spinach, romain lettuce)

1/2 avocado (sliced)

1/2-1 cup brown rice or quinoa (optional) OR cauliflower rice

1/2 cup black beans (optional)

1/4 cup can or cooked corn

1oz cheese (optional)

Fresh cilantro (garnish)


  1. Place meat into a skillet and cook at a medium-high heat until brown. Add salsa and mix completely.

  2. Chop up veggies and set aside.

  3. Start by adding the greens into bowl then add the cooked meat. Add toppings that you desire. Serve immediately.
